“We don’t laugh because we’re happy – we’re happy because we laugh.” – William James

Laughter is the best medicine! A day without laughter is a day wasted…

It is a medicine freely available for all and yet many do not make use of it during normal times. They go around looking for a companion to smile, laugh, and cheer. When she (laughter) is there with you, you do not feel stress, anxiety, or sorrow instead you feel hale and hearty. She helps you to come to a life that is full of happiness and zeal and helps you to move forward in life with confidence.

Laughter triggers the release of endorphins which promote an overall sense of well-being and reduce pain. In childhood days, you used to laugh even at petty matters but when you grew up you felt it’s ridiculous to laugh at silly matters. You tend to take life more seriously than it is and forget to smile and laugh making life more complicated and making everyone feel that it is not right to laugh at all times. You wait for very humorous situations to laugh and always wear a frown or serious look on your face as if you need to pay tax even for your smile.

Laugh:

To add years to your life

To add happiness to your life

To bring hope into your life

To reduce your sorrows

To see yourself stress-free

To recover quickly from your illness

To bounce back to life

To have a joyful heart

To have an active brain

To strengthen relationships

To send positive vibes

To magnetize people

To solve conflicts

In the present-day world, people are so stressed out that doctors have to get people to form groups or teams and ask them to get together in the mornings or evenings and laugh for no reason. This later becomes contagious and all burst into loud waves of laughter which is a mental boost.

Laugh and the world laughs with you, cry and the world cries with you. Find a way to laugh about your own situations and observe that the stress gradually fades away. Practice laughter daily and you see that it really brings goodness and healthy well-being. Enjoy your life to the fullest, why cry and spoil your days?

Also learn to laugh at yourself, a rare quality that will help you to keep mused.

Your life is a gift from God, so enjoy it to its fullest with no regret.

“Laughter is the shortest distance between two people.” – Victor Borge
