Yesterday is the past, tomorrow is the future, but today is a gift

Make the best of today for a better tomorrow as you have only today in hand, and you have not seen tomorrow. The future is uncertain, nothing can be guaranteed as there are chances of changes in the economic, political, social, technological, and governmental policies of a country. With such changes, the laws and regulations of the country bring about changes in other spheres of life.

Tomorrow is not promised, so give your best today- laugh, love, and enjoy and be with people who love you and keep you close to heart. Tell them that they mean a lot to you and that you would want to continue to spend life with them unless situations take a different turn. Nobody has seen or experienced tomorrow, so why worry about it today and ruin the beauty that should be enjoyed? You may not be able to enjoy today's beauty tomorrow if you postpone it, so you are losing it today as well as tomorrow. Tomorrow does not come with a promise, it has got its own worries so why add up worries for tomorrow, you do not know what is in store for you the next day. You should always think of working on your present and try to make it the best day possible.

Your best will come from the sum of your habits, education, knowledge, confidence, courage, growth, failures, and victories in life. All the lessons learned in the yesterdays and yesteryears of your life can help guide your tomorrow so that the same mistakes can be avoided in the future.

You can make the best of today if you keep in mind the saying of Kabirdas

kaal kare so aaj kar, aaj kare so ub, pal mein pralaya hoyegi, bahuri karoge kub?

Meaning- tomorrow’s work do today, today’s work now, if the moment is lost how will the work be done?

If you want work to be done now, give it to the busiest person whom you know and not to the person who is free and without work, the busy person has the attitude to work and realizes the value of time as he’s committed whereas a person who is free is non-committed and takes everything easy. Nothing good comes from putting off what can be completed now because what you put off for tomorrow compounds and becomes a difficult-to-do task which would become another kind of fear. Your aim is to mitigate fear or risks in life to focus on higher goals through firm actions. In the pursuit of growth and prosperity do not forget to carry out your moral obligations too.

You ought to pursue things that make you come alive, not make you feel weary and uninspired. You must do away with commitments and obligations that hinder your progress or better still; delegate them to others so as to  focus on that which make you progressive. Try to bring forth the song within your heart because this is the song that touches those who associate with your work.

Procrastination is the act of unnecessarily and voluntarily delaying or postponing something in spite of knowing that there may be negative consequences for doing so. For example, some people procrastinate to avoid thinking about a task that makes them feel anxious, while others procrastinate because they get distracted by social media, wrong guidance, etc.

Procrastination has been found to result in health problems, stress, anxiety, sense of guilt, crisis, loss of personal productivity, and social disapproval for not meeting responsibilities. Therefore, it is always better to do each day’s work the same day and not to keep it for the deadline. Doing your best today is taking positive actions in the present to create a brighter future. Today can be made your best or special day.
